This is my entry for fabercastellaustralia #Colour4Life2024 competition. Using Faber-Castell’s #polychromos pencils I’ve create an artwork that represents me and who I am. I’m sitting at my desk which I designed and built myself to perfectly fit my needs, surrounded by my favourite books, pictures of my beloved dog Oli and Guinea pigs Seamus and Charlie, a model of DNA to show my passion for science, a Sydney Sixers banner for my favourite WBBL team, a match ball signed by Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry my favourite cricket players (and the best day of my life!), one of my lava lamps because I’ve been obsessed with them all my life, my polychromos, the logo of my favourite band (top shelf on the right) Florence and the Machine, and I’m wearing a jumper that I tie dyed myself. My workspace is my favourite place, everything about it is a part of me. ...

Art, music, family are the core of who I am. I love creating unique creatures inspired by nature, like my Phönix with a bird’s head, guarding stars and a moon, while rabbits ride on its back. This symbolizes the balance between strength and fragility. I drew my inspiration from stories where the violin is restored to an octopus which fuels my imagination. I also drew a reindeer with trees for antlers, where I pictured my family in the branches, recalling a special memory. These memories and creations are a reflection of who I am.

The title ilustration of my series Through Her Eyes.
`Behind the Mask` symbolises my persona, an introverted creative who is decidedly more at ease out of the spotlight.
My portrait series of amazing women is gradually helping me to emerge from the shadows, to share and embrace my skills as an artist.
